Tipos de audífonos

 

 

 

 

 

Existen audífonos disponibles para cualquier tipo de gusto y economía. Falta encontrar el punto justo entre necesidades y exigencias del paciente, con las posibilidades reales de adaptar por parte del audioprotesista para cubrir las necesidades y también expectativas de ese paciente.

Cada tipo de audífono cubrirá un determinado rango de pérdida y será más adecuado según la tipología de cada oído.

Completamente en el canal (CIC)

Son los más pequeños y prácticamente invisibles. Limitación de la potencia, no válido para pérdidas graves.  Recomendado solo en pacientes con conductos auditivos anchos por necesidades anatómicas y físicas en la realización de la carcasa a medida

Intrauricular (ITC y ITE)

Ligeramente más externos y grandes que los CIC pero bastante pequeños como para resultar discretos y poder ser más fáciles de manejar. Estos modelos resultan adecuados para pérdidas auditivas de leves a severas.


Retroauriculares (BTE)

Situados cómodamente detrás de la oreja, son los que cubren la mayor cantidad de grados de pérdida auditiva. Existiendo muchos tamaños y formas de llevar el sonido hasta el oído, desde tubos finos prácticamente invisibles hasta el clásico tubo más grueso y molde rígido, imprescindible en las perdidas más severas.    Son personalizables pudiendo elegir  desde colores muy  vistosos o más discretos según las preferencias.

Minirreceptor intrauricular (miniRITE)

Se trata de audifonos retroauriculares con la particularidad de su reducido tamaño, al llevar el auricular directamente en el interior del conducto auditivo mediante un cable muy fino. Su pequeño tamaño no impide que cubran pérdidas auditivas de leves a severas.  Cada vez son más populares por su enorme versatilidad de adaptación manteniendo una estética muy discreta, que gusta y resulta enormemente cómoda.
